The "2026 EUR-ACE Connect," a premier global forum on engineering education, was held in Istanbul on June 4–5, bringing together engineering education experts, higher education leaders, and accreditation agency representatives from Europe, the Americas, Asia, and the Middle East to explore quality assurance in engineering education, the evolution of international accreditation, and trends in talent development. Dean Tsu-Wang Shen of Feng Chia University's College of Information and Electrical Engineering attended the conference on behalf of the University, sharing practical experiences in advancing Outcome-Based Education and pursuing international accreditation, while actively expanding the University's global collaborative network.

Feng Chia University held its Class of 2026 commencement ceremony on June 6 in two sessions for the first time at the Celebration Hall in the Virtuosi Building. Centered on the theme “Beyond,” the ceremony conveyed a message of limitless possibilities and lifelong exploration. Faculty members, families, and friends gathered to celebrate the graduates as they embarked on the next chapter of their journeys, carrying with them the knowledge, memories, and experiences gained during their years at Feng Chia University.

Feng Chia University Confers Honorary Doctorate on Lung-Shi Yang for Distinguished Contributions to Urban Planning and University Development

FCU Incubated Startup Fengsheng Digital Selected Among Taiwan’s Top 100 Startups, Secures NT$3 Million in Government Support

On April 29, the National Development Council (NDC) announced the list of the top 100 teams selected for the “Startup Blossom – Startup Alliance Competition.” Among 2,805 participating teams from across Taiwan, Fengsheng Digital Development Co., Ltd., led by Chen Chen-Hung, an alumnus of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Feng Chia University, successfully advanced into the top 100 and was awarded NT$3 million in startup funding support.

FCU Partners with Fengmiao Offshore Wind Farm to Cultivate Green Energy Talent

In response to the global transition toward net-zero emissions and the rapid growth of the renewable energy sector, Feng Chia University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on April 30 with Fengmiao Offshore Wind Power Co., Ltd., a company under Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP). The signing ceremony took place at the Taichung City Government, marking the beginning of a strategic industry–academia partnership focused on offshore wind power education, internships, and professional exchange.

The prestigious title of Fellow of the Taiwan Institute of Architects (FTIA)—one of the most respected honors in Taiwan’s architectural academia and professional community—has been announced. At the annual general meeting of the Taiwan Institute of Architects held on April 18, Shwu‑Ting Lee, Vice President of Feng Chia University, was awarded the 2026 FTIA Fellowship in recognition of her outstanding contributions to architectural education innovation, international engagement, and social practice.

Cheers Magazine held the awards ceremony for the 2026 University Presidents’ Mutual Evaluation of Institutional Performance on April 15. With its stable governance and forward‑looking strategic planning, Feng Chia University stood out among 110 participating universities nationwide, ranking fifth overall and once again claiming first place among comprehensive private universities. Wei Wang, President of Feng Chia University, attended the ceremony in person to receive the award.
